Messy, gooey end to 2010 campaign

It was a MESSY end to the 2010 Great Stocking Stuffer Election.

Costa Elles, co-owner of The OPA restaurants, in a pitched battle of bistros with The Wooden Monkey, vowed that they would have a strategy to vacate last place.

It was no pie in the sky boast. It was 12 pies in the face for The Salvation Army...raising hundreds of dollars in the dying hours of the campaign.

Hmm. If you had a chance to PIE YOUR BOSS IN THE FACE...what would that be like? Check out the gooey photos on our campaign Facebook page here...to live the fantasy!

Stocking Stuffer logo animation - a Delicate job

(PHOTO courtesy of Ted Pritchard - Chronicle Herald)

Look whose smiling face is on page E-3 of the Friday Chronicle Herald. Why, it's Joel LeLievre of Delicate Machines who kindly provided the cool digital animation of our iconic Stocking Stuffer logo.

It's a little bit of Hollywood right here in Dartmouth. Joel and his cloud-team of animators have provided the digital pyrotechnics  on Twilight: New Moon, The Chronicles of Narnia and now TRON: Legacy.

Check out the whole story in The Herald and check out the Delicate digital-opening in Paul Kent's campaign YouTube:

Sneak peek at our final Herald ad for 2010 campaign

What can we say about The Chronicle Herald

They've been the foundation on which we've been able to attract a stellar group of candidates, year after year.

And, by the looks of things, it will be another stellar year by midnight tonight.

Above is a sneak peek at the 2/3 page ad that will run in The Sunday Herald on Boxing Day, Sunday, December 26.

Thank you Chronicle Herald, and thank you candidates. No matter WHO stuffs the most stocking, we're all winners in this campaign.

Winning smile - winning votes!

I think I know what Chris Megaffin's secret weapon is.

It's Tanya's winning smile at Colonial Honda reception that's raking in all those 'votes'...!
